Hit by a speeding log, Kuni sacrifices himself to save Chibi from drowning but is carried away in the current. Just then the creature that appeared during the battle with Anura arrives and devours the evil energy that seeps from the dead Bullhead and disappears once again.

Meanwhile Nanami saves the young god and bids farewell, reassuring Chibi that even though she couldn't find him, that Kuni is still alive and that Chibi will remember her....someday. With that, Chibiterasu is left to travel alone along the Ryoshima coast towards the capitol and an uncertain future.
